Matthew had a great winter. He is becoming such a Big Boy. School is great for him and he still loves it. He is doing well with writing and is practicing reading. He is a sensitive and smart and a very good big brother. Soon he will be my biggest helper as he becomes a big big brother! I know he is looking to Spring and the warmer weather!
September 2008
We had a great summer and now Matthew is in Preschool. He LOVES it! He is growing up quickly and becoming much more independent. He is really looking forward to turning four. He talks about that a lot!

Matthew wrote his own name today! We knew he could spell it but had know idea he would try writing it too! I don't know if I was more amazed or proud!
November 2007 Update
Matthew is 3 years old TODAY! He is having a great birthday. He is getting bigger and smarter every day. He has been potty trained for awhile now so there won't be any issues when he starts school next year. We still try to have him nap but he is starting to resist. All in all he is just a happy, curious, funny & energenic kid!
May 2007 Update
Matthew is 2 1/2 years old. He is fully moved into his new "big boy" room and loves it. We're still working on potty training but he's doing pretty well. He has been singing his ABC's and several number songs. Plus, he likes to count to ten in Spanish! Now that it is nice out his loves to do things outdoors. Sidewalk chalk is a favorite and we just finished building his new play set, which will keep him very busy. He is also preparing himself to step into his new role as big Brother. He talks about the baby a lot. Hopefully his enthusiasm continues once the baby arrives. Happy Summer!
March 2007 Update
Matthew is 28 months. We just returned from Florida where Matthew had a great time and got to see many new things. He is still staying busy with his friends and gymnastics classes but we are ready for some warm weather to play outdoors! We are getting his "Big Boy" room ready for him and he has started using the potty.
November 2006 Update
Matthew is now 2 Years Old!!! Uh-oh, we have reached the terrible twos! Luckily, we haven't seen any of the "terrible" part yet. He is able to communicate much better now and is turning into quite a little boy! Although the weather is chillier, he is still staying busy with Tumbling Class, story hours and playgroups with friends. His biggest obsession right now are Matchbox cars! "Cars" is his first word in the morning and he carries them with him everywhere.
July 2006 Update
Matthew is now 20 months old. We have been very busy traveling and visiting with family and friends. Matthew has loved every minute of it but I think he also likes returnng home. He completed swim classes and loves the pool. So, we have been swimming when we can, enjoying the outdoors when it's not too hot and just having lots of summer fun!
May 2006 Update
Matthew is 18 months old. He now weighs 28 lbs, 4 ozs and is 33 inches tall!
He is very good at puzzles, games and following orders. Also, he LOVES to be outdoors. He recently started swimming lessons
and attended his first Orioles Baseball game!
February 2006 Update
Matthew is 15 months old. At his Doctor's appointment he weighed in at 25 lbs, 4 ozs and is 32 1/4 inches tall!
He is now running, giving hugs and kisses, and learning to point out many parts of the body.
He wasn't quite sure what to make of the recent snowfall but I have a feeling we'll have to drag
him inside next year.
January 2006 Update
Matthew is 14 months old and developing quite a personality!
The teeth keep coming in (I think he's up to ten?) and he is learning to eat with a fork and spoon. He also learned to climb
up onto chairs and couches by himself. He loved Christmas and all that came along with
the holiday season!
November 2005 Update
Matthew is now 12 months old!
His Birthday Party was held on Saturday, November 5, 2005.
He began walking about 3 weeks prior to his first birthday
and he is getting pretty good at it now! He loves books, puzzles, and all the new toys
everyone was so generous to give to him.
He has seven teeth.
